After studying biology, Coralie almost ended up in the beer industry (perhaps due to her childhood in Alsace), but a postgraduate degree (DESS) in Champagne winemaking in Reims, followed by a DNO (National Oenology Diploma) in Bordeaux, brought her back on the right path. When they both returned to Amboise in 2002, Coralie chose to work at the Viticultural High School, where she is responsible for promoting and marketing the school's wines. She brings energy, freshness, and a crucial feminine touch to the project.
Although immersed in the world of wine from an early age, Damien initially wanted to be a pilot(!). However, wine captured him, and it was in the vineyard that he finally chose to express himself. After meeting in Bordeaux during their studies at the DNO, Damien interned at Domaine Verret in Irancy, Domaine Laroche in Chablis, Domaine Lafon-Rochet in St Estèphe, and Clos Pégase in Napa Valley. Finally, he found Coralie in South Africa. Upon returning to Amboise, the adventure began with the 2002 harvest, followed by taking over the estate and restructuring it towards terroir-based viticulture with a greater respect for nature. It was a true turning point! Damien teaches at the Amboise viticulture school as well as at the IUT of Tours. Whether as a professor or winemaker, Damien is driven by the need to progress, share, and transmit - values that inspire him every day.
